I’ve spent my life building — building teams, businesses, communities, and now, movements. My foundation began in the U.S. military, where I learned discipline, resilience, and the power of systems thinking through Total Quality Management (TQM). That training didn’t just teach me to manage processes — it taught me how to transform them, to lead people toward excellence, and to never settle for “good enough.” I earned recognition on a global stage by creating a service model grounded in ITSM and TQM principles — ultimately receiving the Technology Services Industry Association’s Annual STAR Award. That moment reinforced a truth I carry into every endeavor: innovation matters only when it delivers real impact.
Entrepreneur
As an entrepreneur, I turned vision into reality. I built Cactus Creek Restaurant and later Midnight Oil Brewing Company — ventures that weren’t just businesses, but gathering places that rallied communities around quality, craft, and connection. Every step demanded creativity under pressure, resourcefulness, and the courage to create something from nothing.
Early Childhood & Parenting Advocate
Then, parenthood redefined everything. Becoming a father shifted my focus from building companies to building futures. I acquired and have operated a private school for nearly a decade, working directly with hundreds of families and seeing firsthand the challenges and opportunities in childhood and education. Out of that experience came Seeds of Virtue — a neuroscience-backed curriculum designed to help children grow not only smarter, but stronger in character, resilience, and creativity.
Today, I’m leading my most important venture yet: Brightsy — a parent community and innovation hub built to give families clarity, structure, and empowerment in a world that too often overwhelms them. Brightsy is more than a company — it’s a movement to reimagine parenting, connect families, and shape the future of education and human flourishing.
